PDF Outline Viewer
Read a PDF's outline β the bookmark or table-of-contents structure some PDFs have built in β shown with real nested indentation, each entry resolved to its actual target page. Click any entry to render that page directly. A PDF with no outline is reported as such rather than fabricating a structure that isn't there. Runs entirely client-side using pdf.js β nothing is uploaded.
About this tool
This tool reads a PDF's outline β the bookmark or table-of-contents structure some PDFs (especially longer documents like books, reports, and manuals) have built in, the same structure a PDF reader's sidebar shows. Not every PDF has one: it's an optional feature the document's author or export tool has to have added, so a simple PDF (a scanned document, a short letter) usually won't have any bookmarks to show. Each entry links to an actual page in the document, resolved from the PDF's internal destination references, and clicking one renders that page directly so you can confirm it points where you expect. It runs entirely client-side using pdf.js β nothing you upload is ever sent anywhere.

Frequently asked questions
Why does it say my PDF has no bookmarks?+
Not every PDF includes an outline β it's an optional structure the document's author or export tool has to add explicitly. Many PDFs, especially scanned documents or simple exports, genuinely don't have one, which this tool reports rather than fabricating a structure that isn't there.
Why can't I click some entries?+
An outline entry that points to an external link (a URL) rather than a page within the same document, or one whose internal destination couldn't be resolved, is shown without a page number and isn't clickable here.
Does this let me edit the outline?+
No β this tool is read-only, for browsing and verifying a PDF's existing structure. It doesn't add, remove, or reorder bookmarks.
How is this different from the PDF Viewer?+
The PDF Viewer pages through a document sequentially. This tool is built around navigating by structure β jumping directly to a specific chapter or section via the document's own bookmark hierarchy, when one exists.
Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?+
No β its outline is read and pages are rendered directly in your browser using the pdf.js library. Nothing here ever leaves your device.
